Botanical origin
Garden cress (Lepidium sativum) is a botanical gem little known in mainstream skincare but long valued in traditional medicine across southwest Asia, Egypt and the Mediterranean. Cold-pressed from the seeds of Lepidium sativum, this 100% natural oil delivers a remarkable combination of omega fatty acids, vitamins and minerals that few other plant oils can match. Its unique composition — a near-perfect balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, combined with vitamins A, C, E and K, and bioactive antioxidants including catechin and quinic acid — makes it one of the most nutritionally complete botanical oils available for skin regeneration, hair strengthening and anti-inflammatory support.

Science
Garden cress seed oil offers a near-perfect balance of omega-3 ALA and omega-6 linoleic acid — a combination that deeply nourishes the skin's lipid matrix, reinforces the barrier against transepidermal water loss, and provides potent anti-inflammatory activity from within the skin's own cellular membranes.
A powerful polyphenol antioxidant found in garden cress seeds, catechin scavenges free radicals and protects skin cells against oxidative stress — one of the primary biological mechanisms behind visible premature ageing from UV, pollution and environmental stressors.
A naturally occurring plant acid with documented anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. Quinic acid contributes to the oil's ability to support the skin's natural healing response and reduce the visible appearance of redness and irritation.
An unusually complete vitamin profile for a plant oil. Vitamin A supports cell renewal, vitamin C contributes antioxidant activity, vitamin E provides membrane-level free radical protection, and vitamin K is associated with improved circulation and the appearance of dark circles and marks.
Application
After cleansing, apply your toner or hydrosol and leave skin slightly damp. Apply 2–3 drops of garden cress oil and massage upward in circular motions for 30–60 seconds.
For marks, rough patches or dry zones — apply 1 drop directly to the area and tap gently until absorbed. Use nightly for 2–4 weeks for progressive improvement.
For scalp support: massage a small amount into the scalp in circular motions for 3–5 minutes. Leave 30–60 minutes then shampoo. The omega-3 and vitamin K content supports follicle health and scalp comfort.
Ritual combinations
Both are exceptionally rich in ALA omega-3. Alternating or blending garden cress and linseed oil creates one of the most omega-dense natural anti-inflammatory skin rituals available from pure plant sources.

Garden cress seed oil is particularly well-suited for skin regeneration, visible marks and scars (appearance support), dry or stressed skin, and scalp health. Its omega-3/6 balance and vitamin K content make it effective for multiple skin concerns simultaneously.
Pre-wash use 1–2 times per week is the most effective protocol. Apply to the scalp, massage for 3–5 minutes, leave 30–60 minutes, then shampoo. Daily leave-on scalp application is not recommended as the oil can build up on the scalp between washes.
Yes. The omega-3/6 balance in garden cress oil makes it well-suited to dry, normal, combination and even oily skin types. For oily or blemish-prone skin, use 1 drop mixed into moisturiser rather than neat application.
For skin marks and texture improvement, progressive results typically appear after 3–6 weeks of consistent nightly use. For scalp comfort and shine, improvement is often noticeable within the first 2–3 applications.
